Elizabeth Bauman

  • Elizabeth Bauman is a costume designer and a theatre teacher at Hiram College.
  • She loves making quilts for local and national contests.
  • Her style is figurative and whimsical with traditional patterns combined.
  • She also loves antique quilts, and has a large collection.

Ginger Mangie

 

  • Ginger's designs are original and unique to her particular style of stitching.  Her original quilt designs have won numerous regional and national awards both for technique and design.  Today, she provides instruction on numerous embellishment techniques.  Her patterns and designs are all original.  Lectures and trunk shows weave both family and American history into quilts that tell a story.

    Ginger holds a degree in Home Economics and a Master’s Degree in Education teaching Human Ecology for over 35 years.  

    She is a member of the Stan Hywet Needlework Guild in Akron, Ohio," "That Quilt Group I Belong To" in Canfield, Ohio, and a needlework teacher at "With Needle in Hand" needlework shop in Boardman. She teaches, travels, and gives lectures and programs.

Clare Neff

Cindy Oravecz

Cindy Oravecz lectures and teaches about embellishments on quilts, clothing and embroideries. Learn ruching, stumpwork embroidery, ribbonwork, metalwork embroidery, crazy quilting, beading, embellished wool, precision cutting for happy sewing, color therapy for comfortable fabric choices and other unusual ways to embellish with her original patterns, tools and books. Cindy has taught sewing throughout the world in the last 30 years and has appeared on HGTV's Simply Quilts with Alex Anderson. She is the owner of Quilter's Fancy in Cortland, Ohio.

Megan Sorn

Megan Sorn received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Columbus College of Art and Design. She has worked in the arts in various fields ever since. She has painted murals & decorative finishes, created stained glass, and done computer animation and pottery.

Eventually her love for quilting overshadowed the rest, and she has been teaching and doing custom long arming for the last 8 years. She recently opened a brick-and-mortar store in Cleveland Ohio, called Imagine That & More, so that she can train others to free motion quilt their own pieces. Her passion in life is to give others the courage, freedom, skills, and tools to be their most creative selves.
